Good polypropylene bokken |

This is a good polypropylene bokken. It is strong and useful for light contact kata between practitioners. Unfortunately, it suffers the same issue as most of the polypropylene bokken on the market. The textured/detailed grip is not doing anyone any favors. After just a few swings, unless your hands are callused, it's too rough. I needed to cover the grip in the same material used on tennis rackets for this product to be functional long term.
Another note, please make sure that 38.5 " is long enough for you before purchase. This product is not as long as a traditional bokken by approx. 1 1/2 inches.
