CLARINO, KURO TEN, GREEN SAKURA, BLACK SAKURA (Depends on the Trim) is used for the futon reinforcement on the Bogu. Also, Top Quality Clarino leather is used on the borders of the Futon for long durability. Many top players and Senseis in Japan, uses this Bogu in everyday practices, standing their rigorous trainings. We tried to keep the cost low, but keeping the important aspect of a Bogu, which are the protection, durability and mobility. KAITEKI XXV MEN:

The High Performance KAITEKI Men is uses the Duraluminium lightweight Mengane, which gives the ultimate performance and strength for everyday practices. The Men has a design with FUKURO NUI finish, which gives better mobility. Top Quality Navy Clarino is used for the Futon reinforcement for long durability. The back side of the Men is reinforced with CLARINO, KURO TEN, GREEN SAKURA, BLACK SAKURA (Depends on the Trim). The Uchiwa (Howa) is made with soft velvet material for nice contact with the skin.

KAITEKI XXV KOTE:

These Kote are light weight Kote shaped to your hand, holding the Shinai. Reinforced with Top Quality KURO TEN or BLACK SAKURA Clarino reinforcements (Depending on the trim) where needed. Top Quality Brown Clarino Leather is used for he palm TENOUCHI.

"What I like most about this Kote is the shape that resembles holding a Shinai. New Kotes are usually hard, and you have to use it so it shapes to the correct shape of holding the shinai, but we designed and produced this Kote, so that it comes in a shape that resembles the hand holding the Shinai." The Tare is a light weigh Tare which is flexible and it will fit to your body from day one. The Futon reinforcement is made with Top Quality Orizashi Fabric, and it has 5 Dan (lines) Kazari. The borders are crafted with Clarino Leather reinforcement.

I am quite pleased with the feel of the bogu. The 5 mm stitching helps with added toughness, particularly the kote as i feel better protection around the wrists than with other kote ive used.

When ordering i was greeted kindly and helped with all questions regarding sizing (as i had ordered previously and the sizing menu had change slightly).

Great bogu option that allows for some personal details to be chosen in customization.

This is a great set, even for someone purchasing bogu for the first time. The men I selected was out of stock, but the Ebogu team contacted me to suggest a substitute and had the set shipped the same day. Excellent service, fantastic product.

I have not yet worn my bogu to practice, but I have tried it on and everything seems to fit. The kote were a little tight at XL, but they'll probably loosen up as I use them. The service was excellent. E-bogu called me to tell me that the kuro-ten men was not and stock in my size but I could get the clarino. Further, e-bogu helped me double-check my sizes. I'd recommend getting your first bogu through e-bogu if it's in budget!
